Those who work with graphics may have been familiar with Affinity applications for some time:
Affinity Photo is a raster editor, similar to Photoshop;
Affinity Designer is a vector editor, similar to Illustrator;
and Affinity Publisher is a desktop publishing tool, similar to InDesign.
Canva acquired Affinity and released a combined app that included all three components, making it free.
The only thing you’ll be asked to sign up for a premium subscription for is Canva’s AI features. But it’s not pushy (only if you decide to use them) and there are no limitations on the basic functionality.
Affinity Studio Features
Three tabs: Vector for vector graphics tools, Pixel for raster graphics, Layout for layout, and Canva AI, which contains paid AI features.
You can work with the same document in any of the tabs, each with access to the appropriate tools.
The available functions and their layout are largely similar to those in Photoshop and other Adobe programs, so getting the hang of them will be relatively easy.
However, there are some unique features. For example, “Filters” in Affinity are implemented as adjustment layers applied to the layers below.
Adobe raster and vector formats, as well as RAW files from various cameras, are fully supported for import, and a wide range of formats with flexible settings are also available for export.
Installation
Applying the patch allows you to use the program without authorization or license confirmation. If you want to officially register on the official website, you’ll need to log in the first time you launch the software. If you find a way to register on the website (the site blocks visitors from Russia, and although downloading via a direct link works from Russia as well), you don’t need the patch. In both cases, all three main components (vector, raster, and layout) work without any restrictions.
To apply the patch, follow these steps:
Install the software. Do not launch it.
Copy the canva.affinity.3.0.3.4027-patch.exe file to the installed software folder. Apply the patch.
You’re ready to use.
Russification: To Russify the program, move the “ru” folder to the folder with the installed program: “C:\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity”.
